My Pivot Point tools is not showing
up or is "dormant". Pivots can be used on any intraday
timeframe. It will show as "dormant" if you activate it on an
end-of-day or daily chart.
My Fibonacci Retracement tool is not
showing up. If you cannot see any retracement levels when
you activate your EZ2 Fibonacci tool, double click on the aqua colored
title bar at the lower left corner of your chart. When you double
click it, a menu will pop up. The first heading on the menu is the
percent move control. Adjust this number to a smaller increment
like .75, .50, .20 or whatever you need to best represent the average
moves in the current market. If the moves are smaller set the
increment to a smaller setting like .50 or .20. The percent move controls the
percentage of the price that the automated tools will look for "last
major moves". A smaller setting tells the system that you are
looking for a smaller last major move while a larger setting tells the
system you are looking for larger last major move.
Where is the information about
lookback settings in Raghee's book? It's on page 36 of
Forex Trading for Maximum Profit.
I'm new to trading and would like
to use your automated tools. Let's leave this one to
Raghee to answer: "Thanks for your question. First off, it's
great that you are learning and I thank you for coming to EZ2Trade
Software for information. However, let me say this, if you are new to
trading and are still learning I do not want
you to use any tool that will automate the "homework" you must learn how
to do. Spend the few weeks and at least understand the
mechanics of drawing support, resistance trendlines, the Wave, etc. It is important that you learn how to draw these studies
manually before you ever think about automating them. You will
often hear me refer to automated tools as a luxury, not a necessity.
When you are ready, when you know how to draw trendlines, support,
resistance, Fibonacci, etc. on your own, then you can look to the
tools as a way to move to the next level in your trading. Please
do not skip this process. The fact is that I drew my lines and
levels manually for over ten years before I even sought how how to
automate the process" |
