Two Palms Trading group is a team of traders out of South Florida.   What started out as a "let's meet for lunch and talk about our trades" group has turned into a team of traders that have been sharing ideas, strategies, and EZ2Trade Software.  There's no denying there is strength in numbers and what makes this team so unique is the individuals themselves.  "We have a couple full time pros that trade for themselves and manage money, we have a part time trader in college, a housewife and mother of two, a computer programmer, it's around six to eight of us regulars dpending on who is in town and our schedules."  It's an eclectic group but they have one thing in common:  "We all believe in price action."

"I think that without that common thread we would not work as well as we do together.  It's been about 8 years for our two "founding members" and the whole thing grew from there.  We all like the trader's lifestyle and you need two palms to hang a hammock and that's why we call ourselves Two Palms Trading."

So what's the requirement to join the group?  "We joke and say it's a copy of Richard Schabacker's "Technical Analysis and Stock Market Profits" which probably is true since we are all big fans of his work and the book is really the first and best primer on charting." 

"We keep to ourselves though.  We've been meeting at the same restaurant for years and except for our regular hostess, no one really know what we sit in the corner talking about."

What do the discussion usually focus on?  "Last six or eight months it's really been commodities since much of the group has been playing energies, grains, and precious metals.  We trade all markets though, stocks have been a big part of the discussion lately with the moves in the Dow and S&P.  If you were with us over the last two years, then you would hear a lot about the U.S. Dollar and forex.  It's always changing and our talks reflect that."

What's the restaurant you meet at?  Maybe I'll come by some time.  "We meet at the Big Bear Brewing Company, but you'd probably never even notice us unless you're looking at the round table opposite the TV with CNBC on."

What about EZ2Trade Software do you all find the most helpful?  "Since there are quite a few of us drawing lines on our charts, one of the biggest problems was the differences in the lines we saw and reacted to.  By automating the trendlines, support lines, resistance lines we can all look at same levels and help each other along.  Funny thing is that we don't all necessarily trade the exact same way.  Some of the group trades solely intraday while others trade only off the daily chart.  But we do have basically five or six key set ups that we apply to different time frames.  Version 3.0 has some features that we really like, some that were brought back and others that are new, the color coded strength candles are a big help and ofcourse the support/resistance program is always being updated and improved and you can really see the difference with each version upgrade."

Another thing that makes this group unique is that they all trade multiple markets.  "Yes, we are all well versed in forex, futures, and stocks so we trade it all.  That's one of the keys to our success."

The group enjoys their anonymity but they do update a website where you can learn more about their set ups and random thoughts:  "After eating a big lunch we can get pretty philosophical about trading and some of those discussions find there way on to the website.  But mainly we share ideas and set ups so it's a good look into what we do."
